Hello, my name is Kate Privett-Collins. I am the new Education and Accreditation Officer here in RISLI.
This is a new position linked to the National Human Rights Strategy for Disabled People, 2025 – 2030.
I am a graduate of the Bachelors in Deaf Studies (interpreting stream), Trinity College Dublin and previously work as an Accreditation Officer with the Irish Association for
Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My work in RISLI will focus on a number of different areas including, developing and implementing a process for setting the basic standards required for the accreditation of
qualifications by RISLI, developing a ‘pathway to accreditation’ for educational programmes seeking accreditation with RISLI, planning Continuous Professional Development
opportunity for registered interpreters and so much more.
