Open Meeting for Deaf Community on the RISLI Strategic Plan 2027 – 2030

Announcement of Public Consultation meeting – Development of the RISLI (Register of Irish Sign Language Interpreters) Strategic Plan 2027/2030

RISLI are currently developing a new strategic plan. This will help to progress RISLI in the future. Your input into the strategy is crucial and we hope you can attend the meeting. This is an important opportunity to work together to help RISLI in protecting and advocating for the rights of the Deaf community. The strategy will support our registered ISL interpreters to deliver the best possible service to the Deaf community.
 
We are working with an external communication consultant to develop the strategic plan, Communiqué International. As part of this process, we are inviting you to a Public Consultation meeting. You can share your thoughts on opportunities, challenges and priorities for RISLI in the coming years.
RISLI will provide ISL interpreters on the evening.
Confidentiality clause: All responses collated will be non-attributable. They will only be reported in summary form.

What to expect: An evening of getting together to share views on the direction of ISL Interpreting and the Register in particular.

Special Note: Under the ISL Act, RISLI does not have the legal authority to operate a complaints process. RISLI cannot proceed with a complaints process until relevant amendments have been made to the ISL Act.
